An accurate, true-to-scale reproduction of the actual aircraft, the model is great for collectors and features authentic, highly detailed graphics and markings. Pan Am was the launch customer for the Boeing 707, which went into service in October 1958 with its first scheduled flight from New York Idlewild - now JFK - to Paris Le Bourget, with a stop at Gander to refuel. The Boeing 707 was developed as a long range, intercontinental, narrow body aircraft that could carry approximately 200-passengers, and has not only been credited with having initiated the jet age, it was also the most popular jetliner of its time.
